Stuff like this used to happen in the UK and all over Europe decades and decades ago. It happened a lot! Football games would get so overfilled and crowds would be so huge that they would just keep filling the venue and filling the venue until folks were being pressed together so hard that they couldn't breathe. Imagine being a part of a crowd so insanely crowded that your elbows are pinned against your sides and every time you exhale, you can't inhale because the space you lost when the air left your body was instantly squished full by the squeeze of the bodies around you. Imagine being about to pass out from lack of oxygen only to have your feet lift off the ground as you are carried in a huge shift as something breaks, some support or bleacher beam on the other side of the stadium giving out and the sudden shift causes a wave of people to be yanked sideways and down to the ground, the people around them falling in to the empty hole and covered by layers of humans who just feel things collide with their feet somewhere below their line of vision in the huge ocean of now terrified creatures.

I read a few books about the subject and the dangers described in them have been vividly present in my thoughts ever since. "Among the Thugs" by Bill Buford had some first hand accounts and was a very good book overall. Scary stuff, for sure. Events are much, much safer these days as a general rule. Unfortunately we haven't figured it out completely yet. RIP those poor concert goers

Oftentimes my brain...(subconsciously?)...pops a song into the background of my thoughts.  No typical earworm, this song will usually seem extra grounded in my reality at that time.  It can be any song but when I hear it & I dissect the lyrics into bits and bytes I find those bits and bytes correlate intricately with the major topics & subjects of whatever I am doing or going through right then.  When I say right then, I mean it can sometimes feel as though all of reality, everything my mind is juggling, all of it gets masterfully blended through a slightly skewed prism of unexplainable nature.  What emerges is what went in, only it has all been reworked into something quite extraordinary.  Oftentimes it is unimaginable beauty that I find in those charmed-for-but-a-moment notes.  Sometimes it is much darker, but even when it is dark it is just as amazing as ever when the mirror opposite of everything is accounted for.

Today's song is Metallica's "Unforgiven" as it appears on the lyrics website I copy pasted it from.  Knowing Metallica, they'll sue me for sure!  Napstergate!

New blood joins this earth,
And quickly he's subdued.
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules.
With time the child draws in.
This whipping boy done wrong.
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own,
That never from this day
His will they'll take away.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

They dedicate their lives
To running all of his.
He tries to please them all –
This bitter man he is.
Throughout his life the same –
He's battled constantly.
This fight he cannot win –
A tired man they see no longer cares.
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully –
That old man here is me.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

[Solo]

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.

What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

James Hetfield explained that the intro of this song is a reversed part of a Western film's score. Some think it was from "For A Few Dollars More" (1965) of from "The Unforgiven" (1960).
Chris Isaak's song "Wicked Game" inspired James Hetfield's singing on this track.
Lars Ulrich said that the band wanted to try something new with the idea of a ballad on this song with heavy verses and melodic choruses instead of their standard melodic verses and heavy choruses.

Copy pasted straight from its page at UrbanDictionary.com, it's Gang Stalking!  Yes, Gang Stalking, hyped up by weirdos enough to make you think it's bullshit but deep down, deep deep deep down there in our heart of hearts we all kind of know that the logic of this kind of clandestine terrorist-ish mob attack strategy is very much rooted in reality.  If somebody actually decided to do this kind of shit to another human being, that human being would absolutely be decimated into a thing that is socially dead.  This is real enough if you disregard the unprovable bits such as EMF weapons and other unsavory conspiracy theorist mumbo jumbo.  If just the human operator oriented coordinated harassment type shit were happening to somebody it would definitely fuck them up mentally & their relationships would crumble.
Keep that in mind as you read:

Gang Stalking is a very methodical crime to ruin someone's social life, loose their job, and drive them out of town and out of their mind. These methods differ slightly by region and lifestyle.
This multi-Stalking attack plan carefully uses different people to continue operations without being caught. Anyone can get away with something once.
Initially a psychopath who somehow feels threatened by the victim, contacts the local gang or group who sends their members in to multi-stalk the victim.
See Gang Stalking Methods such as overt Brighting and Anchoring to initially sensitize the victim, car and home illegal entry. They may also poison pets or watchdogs.
While this is being done they test out the neighbors of the victims so the neighbors can continue this multi-Stalking crime. Different neighbors start Sametime entry/exit and brighting one by one.
Some of the closest neighbors they coax and force to do many different actions that may look a little out of the norm to the casual observer but they do not see any intent of any harm. The victim who is exposed to all of these actions on a day to day basis can see the actions are deliberately intended as a threat. Also these neighbors may even trespass or do illegal entry to mess up a victim's home when they are out but not enough to be seen as a crime by police.
They also attack the victim’s workplace by messing up their work and making it look like the victim screwed up so the victim can get fired. Also they attack the victim's coworker’s belongings if they can make it look like the victim did it.
While this is going on, they pick a close neighbor and force them out of their home or apartment. This can also be done by messing up their job.
This is to make room for the paid gang stalker and/or family to move in and continue the attack after they get all they can from the close neighbors. So if the victim is not socially ruined, jobless or insane, the paid gang stalker takes over. This gang stalker is like an army man and the gang stalking leaders pay him to continue the harassment and make it more severe! It can take three or more years to get to this point. However this gang stalker does not want to be caught because he has too much to loose. He has moved up in the gang stalking organization and knows alot, but he is out of the chain of command. This soldier is on a special project and may even be expendable. By now non-lethal EMF weapons may also be included in the attack. These weapons alone can drive a sane mind crazy.
The above forces now are now trained to attack the victim and this vicious cycle may occur again so if the same person attacks again in three years no pattern will be recognized. New gang stalkers can also be recruited too.
Killing a person's social life, job, marriage, ties with friends and family and making other's think the victim is crazy is social murder!
Victims have also committed suicide from the Gang Stalking Stress!
This is the perfect crime, fool proof in every way unless people become aware and stop it!

So the other day on a day like a million days before I found myself driving home from Tallahassee.  I was a bit hungry and my back had been cramped into the driving position for far too long so I wasn't exactly what you'd consider the happiest of fuckers.  Music soothes the homicidal driver so I was flipping through the local radio stations. Somewhere a unicorn giggled and -SHAZAM!- this unnaturally infectious bastard of a song called "Happy" by Pharrell Williams was born.  It shined out of my car speakers like sunshine.

First of all, you gotta listen to it to understand the power it possesses...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-…

Look at all those people in the video.  They're fucking MESMERIZED. Pharrell could Pied Piper every one of those bastards off a skyscraper and they'd frolic and wiggle all the way to the fucking pavement.

So I turned it up a bit and felt my heartbeat speed up until it had synchronized itself to the skipping-down-the-street-naked tempo of the drums. FSU chicks in those cheek chiller gym shorts appeared like magic on the sidewalks. Traffic disappeared. The ever present pain in my back began to question the choices it had made in life. I actually started to feel happy against my own better judgement.

The beat was inherently viral; my mind was now infected. Nothing in the entire universe could be wrong and survive.  I floated into a turn lane to cut across town towards Steak-n-Shake just as the beat melted into a church-stomping revival so smooth the devil himself'd have to testify.  That's some happy shit, yall.  Across the way  I saw two motorcycle cops parked in the motel parking lot looking every bit as happy to be happy as I was... before it dawned on me that my happy little foot had nudged the happy fucking speedometer up so much that it didn't match the fucking speed limit sign I'd just passed...

So yeah, moral of the story is that happiness will inevitably cost you money and possibly a few afternoons in driving class to keep the points off your license.

That is all.
